WE ARE ANUBIS
Who are we?
ANUBIS is a collective of abolitionist intellectuals, educators and artists bridging the gap between decolonial theory and revolutionary practice. We recognize that quality educational resources are limited, hard to access, and unaffordable for the average person, so we created them ourselves. Guided by years of research experience and teaching expertise, we arm lifelong learners with the weapons they need to actively cultivate world-building communities from the ground up.
Why us?

Expert-driven
Our courses are taught by experienced educators, with specific expertise in decolonial theory and pedagogy and a proven track record of excellence.
Artfully designed
Our educational tools are designed by artists to be not only engaging and informative, but enjoyable to use.

Costs of Carcerality
The Costs of Carcerality is a data-driven research and storytelling initiative that quantifies the full economic, environmental, and human impacts of modern public safety systems including policing, incarceration, and surveillance. While governments at every level devote substantial resources to these systems, the true costs remain fragmented, under-analyzed, and poorly understood. This project will synthesize cross-sector data, generate insightful analysis, and develop accessible tools to help reveal how investments in carceral approaches to public safety compare to alternative abolitionist strategies for community wellbeing. By equipping policymakers, journalists, advocates, and the public with clear, credible evidence, The Costs of Carcerality aims to inform more effective, equitable, and sustainable decisions about how resources are allocated to keep communities safe.
